Zero Hungry Kids Can Help
It may seem unimaginable that in a thriving city like Calgary, families are struggling to put food on their tables, or have to send their children to school without a proper well balanced meal. In Canada 1 in 5 children are facing a food crisis. That means every day 20% of our students are going to school without proper nutrition. Zero Hungry Kids was created to nourish our youth while they are learning. This is not just a local problem. In every community across Canada there kids are going to school hungry, without access to a healthy breakfast and a nourishing lunch. We started in Calgary but we are working hard to support our neighboring communities and we need your help.

Our “Fill The Fridge” program was created to put much needed healthy and nutritional resources in our schools. Filling a fridge with milk is an excellent way to nourish our young students and support their educational needs.

We are working to achieve this goal through your direct support and through our charity fundraising initiatives. Through our fundraiser’s, and partnerships with sponsors and schools to make sure milk and healthy meals are provided to every kid who needs them. We are committed to changing this.

Charity Events
In association with our benefactors, The Brakemen Foundation, Zero Hungry Kids organizes a variety of charitable community events to support our programs.
These charity events are designed to educate our communities on the needs of our children while raising much needed funds to nourish our youth while in school.
Fill The Fridge
Our “Fill the Fridge” program is primarily supported by our charity events and the generous donations of our sponsors and community members.
However, there is an option for direct sponsorship which includes the opportunity to “brand” the fridge with your associations logo and possibly help select the community or school supported.
How To Give Back
Every penny counts! We cannot achieve our mission and nourish every young student in the communities that have supported all of us without your help.

Your support will directly help us keep our school fridges filled with nutritional milk that our young students need to nourish them throughout the day.
Wanna sponsor a fridge of your own?
Yes you can! Become a Fill The Fridge corporate sponsor and we will deliver a fridge to a school, wrapped in your organizations logo! We will ensure that fridge is full and teachers can use it to hand out milk and meals to kids who may need nutritional support. We currently have 13 fridges in schools but our goal is to put one in every school so there are ZERO hungry kids.
